Creating an Account
Welcome to ClapPay! Getting started takes less than 5 minutes. Here's how to create your account and start managing your money.
What You'll Need
Before you begin, have these ready:
- A valid email address
- A phone number (for verification)
- Your legal name as it appears on your ID
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Go to the Sign-Up Page
Visit clappay.com/signup or download the ClapPay app from the App Store or Google Play.
Step 2: Enter Your Email
Type your email address and create a strong password. Your password should:
- Be at least 8 characters long
- Include a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols
- Not be a password you've used elsewhere
Step 3: Verify Your Email
Check your inbox for a verification email from ClapPay. Click the link in the email to confirm your address. Can't find it? Check your spam folder or request a new verification email.
Step 4: Add Your Phone Number
Enter your mobile phone number. We'll send you a 6-digit code via SMS. Enter this code to verify your phone.
Step 5: Enter Your Details
Fill in your personal information:
- Legal first and last name
- Date of birth
- Country of residence
Step 6: Accept the Terms
Read and accept our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. That's it—you're in!
What Happens Next?
After creating your account, you can:
- Set up your profile
- Add money to your wallet
- Verify your identity to unlock all features
Choosing an Account Type
ClapPay offers two account types:
- Personal Account: For individuals who want to send money, pay bills, and manage personal finances
- Business Account: For freelancers and businesses who need to accept payments and manage business finances
