Setting Up Your Profile
A complete profile helps you get the most from ClapPay. It builds trust with people you send money to and unlocks all features.
What to Include in Your Profile
Required Information
- Legal Name: Your full name as it appears on your ID
- Date of Birth: You must be 18 or older
- Country: Where you currently live
- Phone Number: For account security and notifications
Optional Information
- Profile Photo: Helps friends recognize you when sending money
- Display Name: A nickname shown instead of your full name
- Address: Required for some features like physical cards
How to Complete Your Profile
Step 1: Go to Settings
Click your profile icon in the top right corner, then select Settings.
Step 2: Select Profile
Choose Profile from the settings menu.
Step 3: Fill in Your Details
Enter your information in each field. Fields marked with * are required.
Step 4: Save Changes
Click Save at the bottom of the page. Your profile is now complete!
Adding a Profile Photo
A profile photo makes your account more personal:
- Go to Settings → Profile
- Click the camera icon on your current photo
- Upload a photo or take a new one
- Adjust the crop and click Save
Photo tips:
- Use a clear, recent photo of your face
- Make sure there's good lighting
- Avoid group photos or logos
Profile Verification
To unlock higher limits and more features, you'll need to verify your identity. This requires:
- A government-issued ID
- A selfie for face matching
- Proof of address (for some features)
