Card Spending Limits

Your ClapPay card has limits to protect your account. Here's how they work.

Default Limits

Verified Accounts

| Per transaction | $5,000 |

| Daily spending | $10,000 |

| ATM withdrawal (daily) | $1,000 |

| Monthly spending | $50,000 |

Unverified Accounts

Cards are not available for unverified accounts. Verify your account to get a card.

Setting Custom Limits

Set your own limits for extra control:

1. Go to Cards
2. Select your card
3. Tap Settings → Spending Limits
4. Adjust limits as needed
5. Save changes

You can set:

• Daily spending limit
• ATM withdrawal limit
• Per-transaction limit
• Online purchase limit

Why Set Lower Limits?

• Budgeting: Stay within spending goals
• Security: Limit damage if card is compromised
• Kids/dependents: Control spending on family cards

Increasing Limits

Need higher limits?

1. Complete enhanced verification
2. Request a limit increase in Settings → Limits
3. Business accounts have higher default limits

Limits Reset

• Daily limits: Reset at midnight (your local time)
• Monthly limits: Reset on the 1st of each month

Transaction Declined?

If a transaction is declined due to limits:

• Check your current usage in the app
• Adjust limits if needed
• Try a smaller amount
• Wait for limits to reset
