Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication (2FA) helps protect your account, even if someone gets your password.

What You Need

  • Your phone
  • An authenticator app like Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator

Turn On 2FA

  1. Go to DashboardSettingsSecurity.
  2. Select Two-factor authentication.
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
  4. Enter the 6-digit code to confirm.

Save Your Recovery Codes

When you enable 2FA, ClapPay gives you recovery codes. Save them somewhere safe (like a password manager).

If you lose your phone, recovery codes can be the fastest way back into your account.

If Codes Don’t Work

  • Make sure your phone time is correct (set it to automatic).
  • Try the next code in your authenticator app.

If You Lose Your Phone
