Managing 2FA Recovery Codes

Recovery codes are a backup way to get into your account if you lose access to 2FA.

What Recovery Codes Are

They are one-time codes you can use instead of a 2FA code.

Each code works only once.

Best Practices

  • Save them in a password manager
  • Store them somewhere private
  • Don’t email them to yourself
  • Don’t share them with anyone

If You Lost Your Recovery Codes

If you can’t use 2FA and you don’t have recovery codes:

  • start the account recovery flow
  • contact support if needed
