Managing Notification Preferences

Choose which notifications you receive and how you want to get them.

Notification Types

Transaction Alerts

  • Money sent
  • Money received
  • Payment completed
  • Transfer status updates

Security Alerts

  • New device login
  • Password changed
  • 2FA updates
  • Suspicious activity

Account Updates

  • Verification status
  • Limit changes
  • Feature announcements

Marketing (Optional)

  • Product updates
  • Tips and tutorials
  • Special offers

How to Manage Notifications

Step 1: Open Settings

Click your profile picture → SettingsNotifications.

Step 2: Choose Your Preferences

For each notification type, select how you want to be notified:

  • Push: Notifications on your phone
  • Email: Messages to your inbox
  • SMS: Text messages (may have carrier charges)
  • In-app: Shows in your ClapPay notifications

Step 3: Save

Click Save Preferences at the bottom.

Notification Channels

Push Notifications

Instant alerts on your phone. To enable:

  1. Download the ClapPay app
  2. Allow notifications when prompted
  3. Or go to your phone's settings to enable

Email Notifications

Sent to your registered email. Make sure to:

  • Add noreply@clappay.com to your contacts
  • Check spam folder if emails aren't arriving

SMS Notifications

Text messages to your phone. Note:

  • Standard carrier rates may apply
  • Some alerts require SMS for security

Required Notifications

Some notifications can't be turned off for security:

  • Fraud alerts
  • Account security warnings
  • Legal and compliance updates
  • Transaction receipts (required by law in some regions)

Unsubscribing from Marketing

To stop marketing emails:

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications
  2. Uncheck Marketing emails
  3. Or click Unsubscribe at the bottom of any marketing email
