Deactivating Your Account

Need a break from ClapPay? You can temporarily deactivate your account.

What Happens When You Deactivate

  • Your account is paused (not deleted)
  • You can't log in or make transactions
  • Your balance is preserved
  • Your data and history are saved
  • Recurring payments are paused
  • You can reactivate anytime

Before You Deactivate

  1. Withdraw your balance - Transfer money to your bank account
  2. Cancel subscriptions - Stop any recurring payments
  3. Download your data - Export transaction history if needed
  4. Notify contacts - Let people know they can't send you money

How to Deactivate

Step 1: Go to Settings

Click your profile picture → SettingsAccount.

Step 2: Click Deactivate

Scroll down and click Deactivate Account.

Step 3: Select a Reason

Tell us why you're leaving (optional but helpful).

Step 4: Confirm

Enter your password and click Deactivate.

Reactivating Your Account

Changed your mind? Reactivating is easy:

  1. Go to clappay.com/login
  2. Log in with your email and password
  3. Click Reactivate Account
  4. Your account is restored immediately
