Changing Your Password

Regularly updating your password helps keep your account safe. Here's how.

How to Change Your Password

Step 1: Go to Settings

Click your profile picture → Settings → Security.

Step 2: Click Change Password

Under Password, click Change Password.

Step 3: Enter Your Current Password

Type your current password to verify it's you.

Step 4: Create a New Password

Enter your new password. A strong password:

• Has at least 8 characters
• Includes uppercase and lowercase letters
• Has at least one number
• Contains a special character (!@#$%^&*)
• Is not used on other websites

Step 5: Confirm and Save

Retype your new password and click Save.

Password Tips

Do:

• Use a unique password just for ClapPay
• Consider using a password manager
• Change your password if you suspect it's been compromised
• Enable two-factor authentication for extra security

Don't:

• Use personal information (birthdays, names, etc.)
• Share your password with anyone
• Use the same password as other accounts
• Write your password where others can see it

Forgot Your Password?

If you can't remember your current password:

1. Log out of your account
2. On the login page, click Forgot password?
3. Follow the reset instructions sent to your email

Sessions After Password Change

After changing your password:

• You'll stay logged in on your current device
• Other devices will be logged out for security
• You'll need to log in again on those devices with your new password
