Get started with the ClapPay app.

First Launch

When you open ClapPay for the first time:

Option 1: Create Account

New to ClapPay?

1. Tap Get Started
2. Enter email address
3. Create password
4. Verify email
5. Add phone number
6. Complete profile

Option 2: Log In

Already have an account?

1. Tap Log In
2. Enter email and password
3. Complete 2FA (if enabled)

Initial Setup Steps

Step 1: Verify Your Phone

We'll send a code to verify your phone number:

1. Enter your phone number
2. Receive SMS code
3. Enter the code

Step 2: Enable Security

Set up security features:

• Biometrics: Face ID or fingerprint
• PIN: 4-6 digit code
• 2FA: Recommended for all accounts

Step 3: Connect Bank (Optional)

Link a bank account:

1. Tap Add Bank
2. Search for your bank
3. Log in securely
4. Select accounts to link

Or skip and do this later.

Step 4: Verify Identity (Optional)

Complete KYC to unlock features:

1. Take a photo of ID
2. Take a selfie
3. Enter personal details

Can be done later, but needed for most features.

Permissions

The app may ask for:

App Settings

Configure your preferences:

1. Tap Profile → Settings
2. Set:

• Language
• Currency
• Notifications
• Appearance (dark/light mode)

Troubleshooting Setup

App Crashes

• Force close and reopen
• Check for updates
• Restart your device
• Reinstall the app

Can't Create Account

• Check email format
• Password meets requirements
• Not a duplicate account
