Changing Your Email Address
Need to update your email? Here's how to do it safely.
Before You Start
- Have access to both your current and new email addresses
- Your new email must not already be registered with ClapPay
- You'll need to verify the new email
How to Change Your Email
Step 1: Go to Settings
Click your profile picture → Settings → Security.
Step 2: Click Change Email
Under Email Address, click Change.
Step 3: Verify Your Identity
For security, you'll need to:
- Enter your current password
- Complete two-factor authentication (if enabled)
Step 4: Enter Your New Email
Type your new email address carefully. Double-check for typos.
Step 5: Verify Your New Email
We'll send a verification link to your new email. Click it to confirm.
Step 6: Done!
Your email is now updated. You'll receive a confirmation at both addresses.
Important Notes
- After changing your email, use the new address to log in
- Important notifications will go to your new email
- Your old email will receive a notice about the change (for security)
Can't Access Your Current Email?
If you've lost access to your current email:
- Contact support at support@clappay.com
- Provide your account details
- Complete identity verification
- We'll help you regain access
