Track every action taken on your ClapPay account.
What Are Audit Logs?
Audit logs record:
- What happened
- Who did it
- When it happened
- From where (IP, device)
Essential for:
- Security monitoring
- Compliance
- Troubleshooting
- Team oversight
Accessing Audit Logs
Go to Settings → Security → Audit Logs.
Or: Settings → Team → Activity.
What's Logged
Account Actions
- Logins (success and failed)
- Password changes
- 2FA updates
- Settings changes
Transaction Actions
- Payments viewed
- Refunds issued
- Disputes responded to
- Payouts initiated
Team Actions
- Members invited
- Roles changed
- Access revoked
- Permissions updated
Customer Actions
- Profiles viewed
- Data exported
- Information updated
Log Details
Each log entry shows:
- Action: What was done
- User: Who did it
- Time: Exact timestamp
- IP Address: Source location
- Device: Browser/app used
- Status: Success/failure
Filtering Logs
Filter by:
- Date range
- User
- Action type
- Status
Example Filters
- "Show all logins this week"
- "Show all refunds by [user]"
- "Show all failed actions"
Exporting Logs
Download logs for compliance:
- Set your filters
- Click Export
- Choose format (CSV, JSON)
- Download
Retention
Audit logs are kept for:
- Standard accounts: 90 days
- Business accounts: 1 year
- Enterprise accounts: 7 years (or custom)
Alerts
Set up alerts for sensitive actions:
- Go to Audit Logs → Alerts
- Choose actions to monitor:
- Failed login attempts
- Large refunds
- Settings changes
- Choose notification method
- Enable
