Sending Money to a ClapPay User
Send money instantly to friends, family, or anyone with a ClapPay account.
How to Send Money
Step 1: Start a Transfer
Click Send on your dashboard or go to Send Money.
Step 2: Find the Recipient
Enter their:
- Email address (registered with ClapPay)
- Phone number (registered with ClapPay)
- Username (if they've set one)
Or select from your recent contacts.
Step 3: Enter Amount
- Type the amount to send
- Select the currency
- Add a note (optional but helpful)
Step 4: Review and Send
Check the details:
- Recipient name
- Amount
- Any fees (usually $0 for ClapPay to ClapPay)
Click Send to complete.
Step 5: Done!
Money arrives instantly. Both you and the recipient get a notification.
Fees
ClapPay to ClapPay transfers are FREE for the same currency.
If currencies differ, a small conversion fee applies (0.5-1%).
Speed
Transfers between ClapPay users are instant—usually arriving in seconds.
Tips
- Double-check the recipient: Verify the name shown before sending
- Add a note: Help the recipient know what the payment is for
- Save frequent contacts: Star contacts you send to often
- Request instead: Ask them to request money from you to avoid errors

What If They Don't Have ClapPay?
If the recipient isn't on ClapPay, you can:
- Send to their bank account
- Invite them to join ClapPay
