Verify your business to access all ClapPay features.
Why Verify Your Business?
Verification is required to:
- Accept payments
- Send payouts
- Access higher limits
- Enable all features
What We Verify
Business Information
- Legal business name
- Business address
- Tax ID (EIN, VAT, etc.)
- Business type
- Industry
Ownership Information
For each owner with 25%+ ownership:
- Full legal name
- Date of birth
- Address
- Government ID
Representatives
The person managing the account:
- Full name
- Job title
- Contact information
Verification Process
Step 1: Start Verification
Go to Settings → Business → Verify Business.
Step 2: Business Details
Enter your business information:
- Legal name
- DBA (if different)
- Address
- Tax ID
- Website
Step 3: Business Documents
Upload required documents:

| Sole proprietor | ID + proof of address |
| LLC | Articles of organization |
| Corporation | Articles of incorporation |
| Partnership | Partnership agreement |
Step 4: Owner Information
Add information for each beneficial owner:
- 25%+ ownership stake
- Full details and ID
Step 5: Representative
Confirm your authority to act for the business.
Step 6: Submit
Review everything and submit for verification.
Verification Timeline

If Verification Fails
Common issues:
- Document quality too low
- Information mismatch
- Missing documents
- Unsupported business type
You can:
- Review rejection reason
- Correct the issue
- Resubmit
Keeping Information Current
Update verification when:
- Address changes
- Ownership changes
- Business structure changes
- Legal name changes
Go to Settings → Business → Update Information.
