Sell your stock holdings when you're ready.
How to Sell
Step 1: Go to Portfolio
Open Invest → Portfolio.
Step 2: Select Stock
Tap on the stock you want to sell.
Step 3: Tap Sell
Click the Sell button.
Step 4: Enter Amount
Choose:
- Sell all: Your entire position
- In dollars: Specific dollar amount
- In shares: Specific number of shares
Step 5: Review
Check the order:
- Quantity selling
- Estimated proceeds
- Order type
Step 6: Confirm
Tap Sell to execute.
After Selling
Proceeds
- Cash goes to your investing balance
- Available to reinvest or withdraw
- Settlement: 2 business days
Withdrawing Cash
Move to your ClapPay wallet:
- Go to Invest → Withdraw
- Enter amount
- Transfer
Tax Considerations
⚠️ Important:
Selling triggers taxes:
- Gains are taxable
- Short-term (under 1 year): Ordinary income rates
- Long-term (over 1 year): Lower capital gains rates
- Losses can offset gains

When to Sell
Selling decisions are personal, but consider:

Partial Sales
You can sell any amount:
- Sell 1 share of 10
- Sell $50 of $500
- Keep the rest invested
